Steve Fromm - Chapter President
This past January, I was elected to serve as the president of the Georgia Chapter of ACHCA. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Steve Fromm and I am the administrator at Regency Park Health & Rehabilitation located in Dalton, Georgia. I have a MSW degree and have been in long term care for the past 11 years. I also have a Masters in Religious Education and served as a missionary with the Southern Baptist’s North American Mission Board for 10 years prior to beginning my work in long term care.
I have recently celebrated my 25th wedding anniversary, have 7 children ranging in age from 10 to 24, and live in Calhoun, GA. |

Troy Churchill – Vice-President
Troy was born and raised in Lansing, MI. In 2001, he moved to Chattanooga, TN to attend Southern Adventist University where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Long Term Healthcare. Between his Sophomore and Junior years, Troy participated in a ten month missionary stint in the South Pacific where he taught 8th
grade on the island of Pohnpei.
In 2006, he signed on with Ethica Health and Retirement Communities as an Administrator in Training at Gordon Healthcare Center under the direction of Andy Miller. In 2010 Troy won the New Administrator Award presented by ACHCA for demonstrating leadership potential in long term care. He currently serves as the Executive Director of Northside of Golden Living in Atlanta, GA. |

Lorie Scroggs - Treasurer
Lorie is the Administrator of Traditions Health & Rehabilitation where She has been since 2004. She has been in the long-term care profession for 25 years. She also serves on the Membership Services, Regulatory and Quality Committees with the GHCA. She is a native Coffee County, GA and currently resides in Conyers, GA. Lorie enjoys spending time at the beach with her family. |

Darcy Watson – Secretary
Darcy J. Watson is the Administrator at Westbury Health and Rehabilitation Center of McDonough, in McDonough Georgia. She graduated from Valdosta State University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and has spent all of her nursing career serving the needs of others.
Darcy has worked on many committees for the Georgia Healthcare Association and is currently volunteering as a CCNH (Council Coordinating Nursing Home) to assist with Emergency Preparedness efforts. “I have been blessed to have the special calling to serve our elderly population and have had great mentors along the way”. Darcy grew up watching her parents serve at Christian City Convalescent Center and her father went on to become the president of GHCA for almost 20 years. Currently she resides in Fayetteville GA and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is an avid Atlanta Falcons fan. |

ACHCA Georgia Chapter Chairpersons
Julia Ann Ridgeway, CNHA, FACHCA, Communications Committee Chairperson
Julia Ann Ridgeway is the chairman of the Communications Committee. Julia Ann is the Administrator of Heritage Inn of Barnesville Health and Rehabilitation in Barnesville, Georgia. She is a graduate of the Georgia Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and received her BSN from the Medical College of Georgia. She has been an RN for over 30 years with 12 years of long term care Director of Nursing experience. She has been an administrator for 6 years and was a Regional Nurse with Ethica prior to that.
Julia Ann has been a member of ACHCA since 2004 and has achieved both Certification and Fellow Status. She is also active with the Georgia Health Care Association where she serves on the Membership Services and Quality Committees.
Julia Ann is active in the community and is Vice Chair of the Board for the Barnesville-Lamar County Chamber of Commerce.
Cori Reese, Membership Committee Chairperson
Cori was born in Statesboro, GA. She attended college at Georgia College and State University and received a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences: Community Health and Human Services. She is the Administrator of Green Acres Health and Rehabilitation in Milledgeville, GA. Prior to becoming an Administrator; she served three roles at Green Acres including: Social Services Director, Admissions Coordinator and Volunteer Coordinator. She has nine years experience in long term care. She currently resides in Wrightsville, GA and is married with two children, Riley (7) and Reagan (2)
Laura Lines, CNHA, Professional Enhancement Committee Chairperson
Laura has been an administrator in Georgia for 21 years. Laura has served as a Preceptor for several Administrators In Training during the past few years. Presently she is President of the SW Council for GHCA and serves on their Board. She is married, with 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren. She enjoys gardening.
